Kuba got one point in Apgar scale - he weighed only 540 grammes, which is the same as half a packet of sugar! He could not breathe on his own, and he had to be aspirated until he began breathing independently at 6 months old. The equipment used to save little Kuba's life was all marked with the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity heart stickers.
Kuba required complex therapy and rehabilitation - he exercised his speech and his parents worked hard with therapists and teachers to improve his skills. Now he is the life of every game - playing with his friends and enjoying his free time!
Are you looking to establish a Collection Centre? Hurry up - we are accepting application forms until Monday! We keep hearing about new activists and institutions, which are going to be joining in our anniversary fundraiser. If you would like to be a part of the Grand Finale, hurry up to apply!
Based on requests we have received from hospitals across the country we are going to be purchasing the equipment for 218 medical facilities in Poland. The funds raised at the 24th Grand Finale will allow us to purchase 2 514 pieces of medical equipment.
There are only five days left for you to establish a Collection Centre in your area! In 2017 we will be playing to raise funds for paediatrics and make sure that the patients in geriatric wards receive best possible care in dignified conditions.
The Bank of Bands is live and kicking for the 9th time now. It is a repository of bands, which support the ideals of the Grand Finale and agree to play at the events organised by the Collection Centres for free!
